Man does time fly … It’s been exactly one year since we started Rolling Republic. Its original intent was to show off dope cars that we see on the intrawebs and to cover local Sacramento, Bay Area, Northern California, and beyond car events. Today, we continue doing what we love and that’s cars! Not only has our blog come a long way, so as our own project cars! You guys have been through it all with us. All you readers and supporters out there, you guys are definitely the best! We appreciate and thank you guys for continuing to read our crap and coming back to this shit for your typical car pr0n!

Another thing, it’s been exactly ONE year and we’ve hit over 97,000 views. We’re perplexed at how that could have even happened, but we do know it couldn’t have happened without you guys!

So yesterday (10/23) was Stance of the Union here in Sacramento. Weird place to have a SOTU, but it turned out great. The weather was definitely not on our side, but it was okay since the show was inside and underneath the parking structure. The show had an awesome vibe to it, actually felt like a car show being in the parking garage and all. I heard a couple people say it was “Sac’s Wek’Fest” lol. All in all, it was a great show.

Shout outs to the TNT Auto Body family, Chris Tang Photography, UC Crew, Driven Authority, Dean and the Platinum VIP family, and VIP Modular. Special thanks to Rusty, Enrique, John and Chris for helping me finish my air suspension minutes before this whole show started!

Also it was awesome to meet all the new people, but special shout out to Jason from the infamous Jason’s Gain of Salt! It was great to finally meet you sir! If you’ve never checked out his blog, you need to check it out!

This past saturday Fatlace Classic Showcase / Drift Event happened in the Vallejo of CA. The caravan down from Sacramento wasn’t too bad. We were suppose to meet up with a couple friends from the Bay and beyond, but some couldn’t make it. All good, no worries! We did see a lot of old friends and even met some new ones.

Overall it was a great event, tons of people, a lot of nice cars, and most important got to chill with the homies. Shot the shit, drank some beer and chilled in the blistering heat.

Special congrats to my boy Brandon, he won BEST JDM of the show. And thanks to Ken (GarageSTAR – check out his blog on the blogroll) for rocking one of our new stickers. I will be sending some out to the people I’ve promised a while back and They will be on sale soon in various different colors so look out!
